How to find your VAT effective date

You can find your VAT effective date on your VAT registration approval letter from HMRC or by following these steps in your Government Gateway account:

1. Log in to your Government Gateway account

2. Click on 'View your VAT account'

3. Under the 'Manage your VAT' section, click on 'View your VAT certificate'
